Barrett, Woodyard & Associates, Inc. (BW&A) was founded in 1987 by Michael S. Barrett, PE (retired) and Charles L. (Butch) Woodyard, Jr., PE. Our mission is to provide the highest quality mechanical and electrical engineering services in the fields of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, process piping, lighting design, power distribution, automatic controls, energy management and life safety systems. Additional services include data/voice cabling systems, LEED certification services, building commissioning, forensic engineering, energy modeling, engineering analysis and due-diligence studies.

BW&A strives to bring the highest level possible of technical expertise, professional involvement and individual commitment to each project undertaken. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, BW&A opened a second office in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2003 and a third office in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2012.
