Michael S. Barrett, P.E. received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University. He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association, the Southern Building Code Congress International, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers. Prior to founding Barrett, Woodyard and Associates, Inc., Mr. Barrett worked as a project manager for an inter- national design/build construction firm and as a principal in a consulting engineering practice. He currently has over 25 years experience in the fields of design, construction and professional engineering.

Mr. Barrett is currently licensed as a professional engineer in over fifteen states and holds a national NCEES certificate.

Mr. Barrett has been in a position of responsibility for the engineering and project management of projects located throughout the United States. Some of the major projects with which Mr. Barrett has been involved include: Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant, Atlanta, Georgia; Mazza Gallerie, Washington, D.C.; Sears at Santa Rosa Mall, Bayamon, Puerto Rico; North Point Center, Atlanta, Georgia; International Center, San Antonio, Texas; California Precision Molding Plant, Sacramento, California; Holiday Inn Worldwide Reservation System, Alpharetta, Georgia; Bloomingdale's, Skokie, Illinois
